Join Rabbi Allen Secher at Temple Bet Yam from 3 pm to 4 :30 p.m., August 19. He will be accompanied by actor Adam Bell who stars in the 6 p.m. one man show about Secher’s 70 year battle against racism and anti-semitism.

Rabbi Secher made history in June 1964 when he was arrested with 15 other rabbis and Albert Vorspan at St. Augustine’s segregated Monson Motor Lodge. This event, the largest arrest of rabbis in American history, prompted national media coverage and immediate passage of the Civil Rights Act. Drinks and light refreshments will be served.
